A team
of 22 led by Philip Lee Sensei participated in the Hong Kong
Aikido Association's 35 Anniversary. The seminar was conducted
from 3rd - 6th Nov and attended by over 200 participants from
15 countries all over the world.
Among
the Shihans taking the classes were: Masatake Fujita Shihan
(8th dan) & Hiroshi Somemiya Sensei (7th dan), both of
Hombu Dojo, Motohiro Fukakusa Shihan (7th Dan) of Thailand,
Hironobu Yamada Shihan (7th dan) of Hokusou Aikikai in Chiba,
Japan, Kenneth Cottier Shihan (6th dan) from Hong Kong Aikido
Association itself, Etsuji Horii Shihan (6th dan) of Japan,
Matthew Holland Shihan (6th dan) of Scotland, Mutsuko Minegishi
Sensei (6th dan) of Saipan, Tony Smibert Sensei (6th dan)
of Australia, Rosso Fernandez Sensei (6th dan) of New Zealand,
Alan Wade Sensei (6th dan) of New Zealand, Kazuhiro Arita
Sensei (6th dan) of Japan, Harry Ng Sensei (6th dan) of the
Aikikai (Singapore), and Philip Lee Sensei (6th dan) of Shinju-kai!
There was
a total of 14 classes conducted by these Shihans and Senseis!
Most of the Shinju-kai participants managed to train in all
the 14 sessions. All of them felt a sense of accomplishment
despite aching bodies! The celebration dinnner was on 5th
Nov, Sunday, where everyone had a great time and made many
new friends. After the event, many Shinju-kai members extended
their trip for shopping in Hong Kong and day trip to Macau.
