21st
December 2003...... a day to be remembered by members of
Aikido Shinju-kai.
It
was the day where we had our honourable guest Seijuro Masuda
Shihan (8th Dan) from Aikido World Headquarters, Tokyo,
Japan to grace the official opening of our humble Hombu
Dojo, the first of its kind in Singapore.
The
opening was witnessed by not only members of Aikido Shinju-kai
but also by some 24 members of the Tokyo Metropolitan Aikido
Club who was here together with Masuda Sensei to celebrate
their 40th Anniversary Camp.
After
the official opening, we had a combined training where all
members enjoyed themselves partnering one another, followed
by a BBQ Buffet dinner and a great time at the Citrus Wine
Bar and poolside situated just at the ground level where
our Hombu Dojo is.
The
party ended around 11.30pm with Masuda Sensei closing it
by singing a couple of Christmas carols.

S.
Masuda Shihan, accompanied by Philip Sensei, unveiled the
