Location/ How to Get There
The Community Centre is located along Palm Road & Upper East Coast Road, opposite a BP petrol station near Siglap Post Office. Buses that go pass the Centre are SBS bus numbers: 10, 12 and 14. Shuttle bus number 608 also goes past the Centre. However, this service is only available up till 7.30pm and is not available on Sundays.
Brief Description
This dojo is found in Siglap South Community Centre, which was recently reopened after an upgrade, transformed into a bright new building for everyone to train in.
With an initial intake of 30 members (15 adults and 15 children), the dojo had its first class on 3 Jul 1998. The youngest member was a 5-year old girl and the oldest member was in his mid-50. The total population has grown to 75 members at present (35 adults & 40 children).The dojo is strategically located in the popular East Coast Road where you can find a food-court, restaurants, coffee shops, a bank and a post office.
The young trainees of this dojo are just as enthusiastic as the adult trainees. This is reflected in their regular class attendance. Most of the young trainees were able to pick up the art pretty fast in the way they performed the rolling.
