Brief Description
Started up on the 15th of February 1995, Cheng San dojo is the second oldest dojo in Aikido Shinju-Kai after Tampines dojo. Classes were held in a small room near the entrance of the community club and consisted of only 15 students then. Since then, membership has grown to one with argueably the largest number of active members, numbering to over 80 people per training session, with an equal number of male and female practitioners, which is very good and very rare in a martial art club. We have since then also moved out of the tiny little training room to the much larger multi-purpose hall.

There is a large proportion of senior students in this dojo, due to it being one of the older dojos. Therefore, a lot of beginners have better opportunities of training with more senior students. This is also one of the dojos with weapon training class, held every last Wednesday of the month.

Facilities
The changing room (or the bathroom) at Cheng San is small, with no place to put your bag and other gear. The floor there is also always wet making the task of changing into and out of our uniform a challenging acrobatic feat. But hey, that's one of the things that make it Cheng San. And our guys are always creative enough to find other ways and places to change - away from public view of course.
