Born on the 2nd of April 1951, Ueshiba Moriteru
graduated from the Meiji University with a degree in Economics. He is
the second son of Ueshiba Kisshomaru and third heir to Aikido. Assuming
the title of Doshu on the 4th of January following the demise of his father,
he travels frequently to countries all over the world conducting seminars
and giving demonstrations.
